Bosses at MTV are reviving music video countdown programme Total Request Live for a one-off special featuring Ariana Grande.
The early 2000s show, which helped launch the careers of Britney Spears, ‘N Sync and Eminem, ended in 2008 after 10 years on air, but has found new life again thanks to pop star Grande.
Bosses at the network announced on Wednesday (25Jun14) that the The Way hitmaker will star in a special titled Total Ariana Live, set to air in the U.S. on 2 July (14). Grande, who turns 21 on Thursday (26Jun14), is slated to perform her hit song Problem and debut her new single Break Free in the iconic Times Square studio in New York City, where TRL was originally filmed.
